Virginia Beach City Council Meeting with Open Mic

On the first Tuesday of each month, at the end of the City Council Meeting, any VB resident can speak at an open mic on a topic of their choice.
This is a great time to address the council with your suggestions and concerns about improving Virginia Beach. Other Hampton Roads cities may have similar forums. This part is not televised like the rest of the Council meetings are.
For instance, recently in 2024, radical anti-Israel protestors have been showing up at this Open Mic with harsh statements against supporting Israel. It would be great to have some pro-Israel speakers there, too!
1st Tuesday Exceptions:
- The first Tuesday in August, in recognition of National Night Out.
- Instances where the first Tuesday of November is the date of the General Election.
