Thank you for signing up to sing The Blessing in our Hampton Roads virtual choir!

We are excited to get your video of you singing The Blessing. Below are the audio files to sing along with and the song’s lyrics. Please record only your voice in your video, not the music itself.

Here are the files to use for your recording. You can play the files from the webpage on one device while recording your video on a separate device.  To download the files, use the small down arrow at the top right of the linked webpage. This is done more easily on a computer.

Click the PURPLE CAPS words below to play or download the individual files, or use this LINK to download the Submission Folder with all the files in it.

  1. INSTRUCTIONS: Detailed printed instructions about how to make your recording. There are also video versions of these instructions at theblessinghr.org
  2. VOCAL MELODY TRACK:  This is the easiest to follow as you sing along with this person. It also has a “click” track to keep you on the song’s precise beats, which is critical for a choir.
  3. PIANO ONLY TRACK: No click track. More challenging without vocals or a click track.
  4. HIGH HARMONY TRACK: With a click track to also record a harmony track.
  5. LOW HARMONY TRACK: No click track.
  6. LYRIC SHEET: Sing just these words without any embellishments. Everyone in the choir has to sing the exact same words on the same beat.

Also, don’t worry about losing these files on this page.  We will email you what you see on this page immediately, then send two more duplicate emails a week apart to finish your video.  All these files will be in both of those emails. Save this webpage just in case those emails don’t reach you! 🙂

When finished, GO HERE to upload your video.

By sending us your video, you grant us permission to post it on YouTube and similar public media outlets as part of our virtual choir. Thank you!
