Maison Fortune Orphanage Foundation

The Maison Fortuné Orphanage (MFO) and Primary School are located in Hinche, Haiti. Our shared goal is to make sure the children in our care are empowered to become the future leaders of Haiti.

Our children grow up with a better chance at future success, and are encouraged to seek higher education, and stay in Haiti, to help their community grow and prosper in the future. We are educating, inspiring, feeding, and caring for the future of this incredibly wonderful and complex nation.

We have two campuses serving more than 85 girls and 150 boys, as well as teaching neighborhood children who attend our primary school. Each year we are helping provide education to more than 300 children in Hinche, Haiti. One of our goals is for our students to continue on to university after they graduate high school, by attending the local University or a vocational school to continue their education.

Our children come to us from dire situations off the streets, from situations where they are being sold as property, or in some cases from single parent homes with no resources. We work with the Haitian Social Welfare agency to make sure we are the best option to meet that child’s needs. Once accepted to our family, MFO becomes the legal guardian.
