About
The timeless message about Jesus Christ really does address the timely challenges we face in contemporary life – in addition to those concerned with our eternal welfare.
Our approach at Village is multi-generational – to be a place where people of all ages and circumstance can grow stronger together in Christ & by helping each other. We’re learning about how God’s grace saves us & then shapes us — in our character & ability to care for others, to experience God-given joy, to endure difficulties & to initiate appropriate love.
It’s certainly a challenge to make progress as followers of Jesus, & to experience His impact in our lives as:
— individuals — family members
— career people/students
— friends — church members
— Christians within the community
The church can be a practical ally in all this process.
Kids seek real answers to tough questions at a surprisingly early age. Young People today are barraged with a dizzying array of lifestyle choices. The church hopefully functions as a much needed assistant to parents for providing teaching, support, values, role models, challenge & direction for the next generation.
From pre-schoolers to retired seniors, we make the effort that all will have attention & good input.
We worship together, we learn together & we share the great variety of life experience together. But that’s not to say that we’ve got it all together . . . . for we all need God’s forgiveness and help to live committed lives for Jesus with an engaged & passionate heart.
What the Bible teaches & the Holy Spirit empowers is . . . devotional, leading us into closer relationship with God & practical in application to real life issues & responsibilities.
I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord. Plans for prosperity
and not for calamity to give you
a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
