12th Annual Hampton Roads Prayer Walk

Announcing the 12th Annual Hampton Roads Prayer Walk, May 25, 2024, 10:00AM at Mount Trashmore. This Prayer Walk will bring together people from all 7 cities of Hampton Roads as we pray to God for His blessings on our region. The walk will begin at Global House of Prayer (GO Church Building), 333 Edwin Drive, Virginia Beach (opposite Mt. Trashmore) and will last for approximately an hour, and then there will be a corporate
worship and prayer meeting, at GHOP, in which Christians from around the Hampton Roads region will pray for the region. Please wear red or white T-shirts, (the blood of Jesus cleanses Hampton Roads).
This prayer walk is a multi-ethnic, cross-denominational gathering and is expected to attract Christians from Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach. Prayers will center on the many concerns affecting the cities. The walk is based on the scripture, Jeremiah 29:7, where God instructs us to “Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf…” This non-political gathering is expected to attract hundreds of attendees as well as the media.
Some areas of concern for prayer include: Revival in Hampton Roads, the moral state of the region; those in positions of leadership in our region’s government to rule well and with Godly leadership in righteousness, integrity and justice; the escalation of violence; the prosperity of the region, the rich, the poor, unemployment, and our schools.
This is an event in which everyone can participate in a non-threatening environment where we can all get together to pray for God to heal our cities. As we are unified in this way, we believe that we can achieve great things throughout our communities, cities, our country and eventually the world. We need change and this is a good way to seek God in unity and prayer.
A unity picnic will follow immediately after the prayer walk. You may bring a covered dish to share.
