In Habakkuk 1:5, the Lord says, “Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder! Because I am doing something new in your day, you would not believe if you were told.”

God is always working to extend His message of salvation to the ends of the earth. Graciously, He has allowed Central Baptist Church to participate with Him in this mission, here locally in the Ghent neighborhood, in our state, and around the world. For over 100 years Central has been a strong presence here in the Ghent community. We care about our neighborhood and the people who live here and we take Jesus’ command to be salt and light where we live very seriously. We also actively participate and support other mission work throughout the United States and around the world. We are constantly reevaluating our mission strategy seeking God’s will and help to provide new ways for the Central family to be involved in helping and sharing with others in the Name of Jesus.

Church runs a soup kitchen and Caring Center ministry.
