Haiti
We have been working in Haiti since the mid 1960s. We have built churches, children’s homes and schools in Haiti which are still going today. Our main focus is the area which is with the most need, Haiti. They are the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. We currently have a church and school in Saut d’Eau on 58 acres. Saut d’Eau is located about 50 miles outside of Port au Prince in the mountains. Our church attendance is around 200 per service and the school is kindergarten through sixth grade with enrollment for 2018 – 2019 school year at 172. The church has increase so that we will need to expand the church within the next year.
We have many plans for the future for our work in Saut d’Eau, Haiti. We are currently in the process of raising money and setting the ground work to build a medical clinic on our property. The clinic plans to be open two to three days a week to see patients from pediatrics to geriatrics with minor injuries, wellness assessments and the control of minor diseases. This is the largest undertaking Dallas Plemmons Ministries has ever done but, this is an area of need that is vital to the needs of the people of Saut d’Eau and surrounding areas.
We are also looking forward to building a guest house for other mission groups or medical teams to stay while working in the surrounding area. We hope to open a factory producing furniture and hand made products within the next few years as well. The best way to help the people of Haiti is to educate, care for their physical needs and employ them. When we take care of their basic needs, it opens the door to lead them to Christ.
