Liberty is a church family of all ages and races. We love the Lord and we love people. We love to pray and we love to laugh. We welcome all who desire to know God better or just want to get to know Him.
There is parking behind the Church and handicap parking in back and front. Most of us park across the street in Liberty field. There are handicap ramps on both sides of the church as well.
We are informal so what you wear does not matter to us — you will see folks dressed in dress and casual clothes. Our pastor’s name is Bubba but don’t be fooled by that, he is an awesome preacher! Pastor Bubba knows that your time is valuable, so he promises to have you out by 11:30 a.m. on most Sunday mornings.
On Sunday mornings you can expect to be greeted upon entering, if you have questions, feel free to ask our friendly greeters. The service will start at 10:00 a.m. with contemporary worship in song, although we throw in a hymn or scripture song sometimes too. The children (ages 4-11) are welcome to attend Sunday School, located at the top of the stairs. There is a nursery for the younger ones, down the hall and to the right.
During our worship you may see folks raising their hands, shouting to the Lord or during a quiet time singing their own song to the Lord. During the sermon we sometimes shout “That’s good preaching!” and if we aren’t quick enough, the pastor will shout it himself! We don’t pass an offering plate but we do have offering boxes located in the back of the sanctuary.
Our midweek meetings are on Wednesday and Friday nights in different homes in Portsmouth. You can find a list in the foyer or call the church office. We believe that fellowship and Bible study are an important part of growing in Christ, as well as getting to know one another in an informal setting.
