Welcome and thank you for visiting New Life Christian Center’s website.
As you browse our site and get to know a little about us, we would LOVE the the chance to meet you in person. It doesn’t matter what you look like, how you dress, how many times you’ve ever been to church, or what is in your past. What does matter to us is the opportunity to get to know you in order to be a part of where you are going!
Our church family is a melting pot of people from all ages and cultural backgrounds that gathers in the heart of the Ocean View Beach community of Norfolk, VA . Like any other family, we all have struggles, faults, hangups and failures – we are by no means perfect!
Thankfully, our God is a loving and merciful Father that redeemed us through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross; His Word acts as a guiding love letter filled with hope, life lessons, and strategies for learning from our mistakes and having a glorious life with Him. Having a real and meaningful relationship with God helps us learn more about Him, ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
Times
Sunday at 4pm is a 2 hour family gathering; it’s a time for celebration and encouragement. This will be seen in both prepared and unscripted ways, including (but not limited to) prayer, worship, testimonies, a Bible message, communion, and fellowship.
Feel free to join-in however you feel comfortable because family gatherings offer something for everyone, no matter what your age or background might be. Best of all, the only One we are trying to impress is God, our Heavenly Dad! Come as you are – have fun praising an audience of One!

The “Storehouse”
Just as Jesus instructed Peter to feed His sheep, Pastors Rodney and Aretha Hammonds lead the Storehouse, a ministry of NLCC that demonstrates the love of God through meeting practical and spiritual needs of people within the community. Provision comes in the form of food, clothes, and personal hygiene/grooming products.
The Storehouse joins forces annually with community partners to distribute Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets as well as Christmas toys/clothes to needy families. On a monthly basis, this ministry hosts a “Broken Bread Bible Lunch” which provides a hearty bowl of savory soup while reading the Word of God (Bible) sure to satisfy both natural and spiritual hunger. Of course the secret ingredient in the soup and the God’s Word is LOVE! The Storehouse also provides a variety of bread and baked goods available immediately after every Sunday service.
