Virginia Beach Justice Initiative

We are a faith-based nonprofit. Our purpose is to end human trafficking in Hampton Roads through awareness, prevention initiatives and intervention strategies that meet the needs of trafficking survivors. We have the privilege of introducing trafficking victims to the possibility of a new beginning through advocacy and our innovative jail program.

WHAT WE DO

The Virginia Beach Justice Initiative was birthed out of a desire to end human trafficking, particularly sex trafficking, in the Hampton Roads area. (What is human trafficking? Click here to read more.)

We are seeking to initiate change by building a coalition of like-minded individuals and organizations that work together to (1) prevent the victimization of individuals and (2) create a comprehensive region-wide program to identify and then assist victims from the time of rescue through recovery and reintegration.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to bring an end to sex trafficking by empowering the residents of Hampton Roads’ cities and the surrounding region through education, awareness, advocacy and prevention campaigns. We partner with other organizations that are involved in the work of eradicating sex trafficking and bringing restoration to former victims.
