MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
CRIME ANALYST I MINIMUMS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree OR four (4) years of experience in fields such as computer science, CRIME ANALYST II MINIMUMS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) year experience in fields such as computer science, SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The City of Virginia Beach offers a comprehensive benefit package, which includes eligibility for hiring bonuses, 14 holidays, and paternity, maternity, and parental leave. Candidates must successfully complete a police background investigation, including polygraph examination. Must have U.S. citizenship or ten-year residency as a prerequisite for VCIN/CJIS certification. This position requires working different shifts, samples of which are outlined in the duties section. Duties: | The Virginia Beach Police Department provides a safe community for our residents by delivering quality police services. Our Real Time Crime Center is seeking an experienced Crime Analyst to join their state-of the-art center in our Operations Division. This position will support law-enforcement as they are responding to critical incidents.
